Frozen River
This painting came together during one of those quiet stretches where the world outside felt frozen in time—and maybe that’s why it ended up feeling so peaceful. Inspired again by hours of Bob Ross (seriously, the man’s a legend), I wanted to capture that crisp, winter calm where everything’s soft, still, and just a little magical.
The snow-covered ground stretches out like a blanket, with a calm river or lake winding through the center—partially frozen, like it’s holding its breath. Tall evergreens line the banks, dusted with snow and standing proud against the chill. In the distance, snow-capped mountains rise under a pale blue sky, scattered with clouds that look like they’re just drifting by, unbothered.
Cool tones and soft brushstrokes give the whole scene a quiet rhythm, like nature’s whisper. It’s not dramatic—it’s gentle. Peaceful. The kind of place you’d stumble across on a winter walk and just stop to take it all in.
