Behind The Red Door

This painting holds a special place for me. It’s not just a winter scene—it’s a snapshot of a memory, taken on at the top of Third Lake (or Joe’s Lake) near Badger, Newfoundland, where my family owned a cabin. I snapped the photo on Christmas Eve 2001 while snowmobiling through the deep snow, and something about the quiet, the cold, and that little outhouse with the red door just stuck with me.
